International Conference on Digital Technologies for Sustainable Crop Production
DIGICROP 2022 | March 28-30, 2022
Online Edition
With this call for presentations, we are seeking qualified presenters that engage the scientific audience on the topic of “Digital Technologies for Sustainable Crop Production”.
DIGICROP 2022 is a scientific event addressing an international and interdisciplinary audience working at the intersection of engineering, robotics, computer science, crop sciences, agricultural sciences, phenotyping, and economics. We welcome contributions that develop, propose, use, or evaluate new digital technologies towards sustainability in the context of crop production, crop breeding, biodiversity, or our agro-ecosystem. DIGICROP 2022 will offer a mix of keynote presentations, invited talks, and video talks based on submitted contributions. The conference aims to stimulate scientific discussions among the participants and disseminate results across disciplinary boundaries. Presentations by industry representatives are welcome.
Format: DIGICROP 2022 will take place online, consisting of pre-recorded video talks and live Q&A sessions. Talks will be available online from February 15 on. Live Q&A sessions for the talks will happen via an online conferencing tool on March 28-30 (in the daytime, CET). The whole event is free of charge for all participants and presenters.
For attendees: Everyone can participate remotely. Further information will be made available soon via the conference website: http://www.digicrop.de
For presenters: Presenters are asked to present their most interesting work of the last 1-2 years in the form of video talks through a 6-7 min video talk. Presenters must be available during the conference for the moderated, live Q&A session via an online conferencing tool.
Becoming a presenter: Besides keynote presentations and invited talks, DIGICROP will host talks based on reviewed submissions. To apply as a presenter, you need to submit a 6-7 min video presentation about your contribution. The deadline for submissions is January 5, 2022. DIGICROP aims at sharing ideas via quality video presentations and does not intend to publish papers. We are interested in showcasing the most interesting work and engage participants in interactions – independently of whether a paper about the work has been published already or not.
Relevant topics: We encourage presentations in the context of modern and digital technologies supporting sustainable crop production. This includes but is not limited to techniques from robotics, mobile sensing, remote sensing, machine learning, and AI for monitoring and analyzing fields, for decision-making, and for supporting sustainable crop production in general. The same holds for approaches investigating new field arrangements, targeted interventions and other management actions, phenotypic trait estimation, simulations and forecasts about the state of the agro-ecosystem but also predictions, upscaling, and impact estimation from an economic point of view. We also invite presentations on multi-trait and molecular breeding, digital twins, as well as different types of stresses.
More information on the Call for Presentations can be found here.
